Stuart Broad marked his return from injury and illness with a 5-wicket haul to save England from an embarrasing loss to Canada in their warm-up match in Fatullah.

Broad is well rested and has a boat load to prove since his Ashes replacement Chris Tremlett out performed him, he should be performing well let’s hope he can take this form into the competition proper. As per England’s performance against Australia, the batting let England down they should be scoring 300+ against  teams like Canada.

Broad’s bad boy temper has back fired on him during training sessions each England player has to take turns keeping him on the leash.

Shake that man’s hand.

The partnership between Stuart Broad and Jonathan Trott brought England back into the game when by all rights they should have been fielding. Trott’s composure and solidity carrying his bat through the whole day was exactly what was needed when the innings was collapsing around him. Surely now there is no question that Trott is a vital part of the England setup.

Stuart Broad’s batting talent was finally realised with the bat, he’s scored his biggest score in any form of the game. On an occasion where England are not only under pressure to get a result to win the series but facing a hugely talented batting lineup able to take the top order apart. There were no freebies here, Broad played with composured defence but was not afraid to attack when they opportunity presented. It was a superb innings of poise and substance under great pressure.
