Watson dominated the Australian innings, leaving England reeling in field with their bowling plans in shreds. It was a superb knock one of the best one day innings I’ve seen and deservedly took the victory, something of a personal triumph for Watson who throughout the Test series looked all set for match winning innings and never quite managed it.
The match itself was a great advert for one day cricket and we can now look forward to a very close series, who said one day cricket was boring?
